It has been an excellent experience working with Dan to produce small replicas of an office building in New York City. My firm negotiates for clients to lease, buy or build office space; at the conclusion of a recent deal, we decided to see if a small, desktop model of the subject building could be created quickly, being completely faithful to the building design and appearance, on an economic basis. That’s when we found Dan . . . he knew what we were talking about and how to use the photographs and plans we gave him to craft a model that was an exact likeness of the building, right down to the rooftop AC compressors. During the process - which only took a few weeks to complete - he also presented us with choices of the finish we wanted, the heft and feel of the models, right down to what we wanted each maquette to weigh. When the models arrived, we were delighted with them, as was our client. Traditionally, “deal gifts” have been lucite blocks containing miniature copies of a document; those required the imagination of a newt, and usually ended up in a storage box - or worse. Dan has enabled us to present clients with a tangible representation of the result of our collaboration with each client, of which we are all proud. I would add that, as a collector of small building models for several decades, the quality of the product that Dan delivers is first rate.
